HOW TO WRITE:

PROFILE, SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE

PROFILE

A profile allows the reader to learn more about your background and it's a great way to demonstrate your written skills. Write an overview of your skills and experience; if you don't have a lot of experience you can add in recent qualifications or certification that is relevant. Add in personal skills as descriptive words, as well as 2-3 relevant professional/transferable skills you have. If you are stuck for what to include, read the job description and make note of the sort of experience and personal skills they are after and include the ones relevant to you.

As a process-driven data analyst with over 8 years of experience in the public sector, I have demonstrated expertise in identifying, interpreting, and advising on efficiencies and problem areas within various data streams. I bring in-depth knowledge of research methodologies, data manipulation and visualisation, as well as technical skills in SQL, Access, Visio and Excel. With confident and friendly communication, I quickly build rapport with clients, colleagues and stakeholders, and I am adept at articulating information to various audiences.

OBJECTIVE

An objective is short and suitable when you know the precise job and industry you want to be in. An objective serves as a statement of your employment goals and allows you to highlight one or two extra skills.

I am an experienced Project Officer with skills in administration, financial reporting, and project scheduling. I will apply my friendly communication, strong organisation and technical knowledge to your team at Foxhill City Council.
